Case study · The Marketing Practice

A patchwork platform, rebuilt around real-time lead identification.

Argus had stalled since 2015, its design and data models outdated for what modern SaaS buyers expect. We rebuilt it from first principles and put a new feature — Web ID — at the centre of the relaunch.

The challenge

Outdated design,
inconsistent data.

Argus had sat largely stalled since 2015 — a patchwork of outdated design elements and inconsistent data models that no longer met what a modern SaaS buyer expects from a lead generation platform.

Renovating the platform wasn’t enough on its own. The Marketing Practice needed a genuinely new capability to relaunch around, not just a lick of paint on the same product.

Our approach

Four pillars behind the relaunch.

Our UX/UI and product teams immersed themselves in how Argus’s users actually generate and act on leads, then rebuilt from first principles around it.

Full UI/UX redesign

A consistent, modern interface replaced years of patched-together design decisions, across the whole platform.

Data infrastructure overhaul

Underlying data models were simplified and rebuilt, so the platform could support real-time features instead of working around legacy structures.

Web ID at the centre

A real-time lookup tool for validating and identifying leads, built as the anchor feature of the relaunch, not a bolt-on afterthought.

Embedded BI analytics

Business intelligence dashboards built directly into the platform, so campaign performance data didn’t need exporting to be understood.

The outcome

Launched ahead of schedule, awards followed.

Argus today

A platform still
winning awards.

Argus relaunched ahead of schedule with strong industry recognition — including multiple awards — and Web ID improved lead accuracy and speed from day one.

The relationship continues. We’re still the team evolving Argus and the wider Marketing Practice tool ecosystem it anchors.

Technologies used

What Web ID is built with.

A deliberately unexciting stack — chosen because it holds up in production, not because it was new.

I have worked with the High Digital Team for many years, and as our scale and scope have changed, they have always been incredibly helpful and solution-oriented.
