We spend a lot of time on our blog and LinkedIn poking fun at the tech industry. We joke about Burger Fish product launches, the dangers of treating AI like unsupervised Minions, and my stubborn, love for old-school OLAP cubes.
But behind the satire is a very serious dedication to doing technology the right way.
We are proud that this dedication has been recognised. High Digital Ltd has been awarded Best Computer Software Business of the Year 2026 – United Kingdom at the M&A Today Global Awards.

Why this one matters to us
In the tech sector, it is easy to win awards for having the flashiest pitch deck or jumping on the latest hype cycle. But the M&A Today awards look at the actual substance of a business—the complexity of the work, the strategic impact, and the tangible value delivered to clients.
This award is a direct validation of the three core beliefs that we outlined in our 2026 roadmap:
1. Work with good people.
You do not win “Best Software Business” in a vacuum. This recognition belongs entirely to our incredible team of engineers, data scientists, and strategists. They are the ones doing the unglamorous, heavy lifting—cleaning the data, untangling the legacy code, and building robust architectures. It also belongs to our clients, who trust us enough to let us tell them the truth about their tech stacks (even when it’s uncomfortable).
2. Be honest and transparent.
We have always refused to sell “magic buttons.” Whether we are rescuing a fragile low-code POC or building a bespoke enterprise application from the ground up, we believe in radical transparency. We build software that our clients can actually understand, control, and own.
3. Data First.
We don’t build software just for the sake of writing code. We build platforms that capture, clean, and activate data. As the AI bubble continues to shift, our “Centaur” approach—building systems that use data to make smart humans even smarter—has proven to be the only sustainable way forward.
What changes now?
Honestly? Absolutely nothing.
The trophy is a fantastic milestone, and we will certainly be raising a glass (or two) to celebrate. But come Monday morning, we will be right back to doing what we do best: delivering hard-hitting projects, keeping digital duct tape away from production, and interrogating data until it confesses.
